A.J. Brown 2024 Outlook: Should Produce As Top 10 Wideout For Third Consecutive Season
7 months agoSince being traded to the Philadelphia Eagles in 2022, A.J. Brown has established himself as one of the most prolific wide receivers in the NFL. Brown is one of just eight wideouts to earn at least 140 targets in each of the past two seasons, which speaks not only to his abilities but also to his availability. The soon-to-be 27-year-old has suited up for every regular season game in his time as Jalen Hurts' favorite target. Although Brown disappointed for fantasy purposes during the second half of the 2023 campaign, he still managed to finish as the WR7 in half-PPR scoring with 1,456 receiving yards, good for fifth-most in the league. Brown has benefitted from condensed target distribution throughout his tenure in Philadelphia, with him and DeVonta Smith dominating opportunities in the passing attack. They should continue to do so in 2024 as the Eagles only added depth in DeVante Parker, Parris Campbell, and late-round rookies to their receiver corps this offseason. While the newly-acquired Saquon Barkley gives the offense another dangerous weapon, he is more likely to take away touchdowns from Hurts at the goal line than have a significant impact on Brown's role as WR1. Fantasy gamers can feel confident building their team around Brown as a safe option with plenty of upside late in the first round of drafts.
