Rougned Odor Looking To Improve On 2017 Results
7 years agoThe owners of Texas Rangers second baseman Rougned Odor labored through a .204/.252.397 batting line to get to his 30 home runs, 15 steals, 79 runs scored, and 75 RBI in 2017. Odor’s poor batting average included a career-worst strikeout percentage of 24.9%. There are reasons for optimism that the 23-year old can rebound as his batting average on balls in play was just .224, but Odor’s aggressive approach at the plate means that the strikeouts are likely here to stay. Even with positive regression, Odor is unlikely to provide value with his average or on-base percentage, making his current ADP of 109th overall and 11th at the position a tough sell. Wise owners will pass at that price.
