Recent Update

9 months agoSan Francisco Giants manager Bruce Bochy said outfield prospect Chris Shaw will play left field every day to close out the season. It makes sense with Andrew McCutchen now in New York and Steven Duggar (shoulder) likely out for the year. Shaw was batting .259 with 24 home runs and 65 RBI in 101 games with Triple-A Fresno this year. He was hitless in his first two major league at-bats on Friday but did drive in a run. He's an immediate candidate for an addition in NL-only leagues, but his poor plate discipline may make him a risky option in mixed leagues.--Keith Hernandez - RotoBaller
