Happy Thursday, RotoBallers! Since it's almost the weekend, MLB has split the slate with several afternoon and evening games. Today's article will focus on the games and slates starting at 1:10 p.m. ET.
It's bizarre to go into a DFS slate without a massive headline like Aaron Judge or Shohei Ohtani lurking in the background. With the lack of slate-breaking batters, there will be several ways to get different in your DFS lineups on Thursday afternoon.
This article will provide my daily fantasy baseball lineup picks for DraftKings and FanDuel on 8/29/2024 and the slate locking at 1:10 p.m. EDT. DraftKings, FanDuel Pitchers - MLB DFS Lineup Picks
Michael King - RHP, SD at Cardinals ($10.3K DraftKings; $10.0K FanDuel)
Michael King is limiting home runs, going (kind of) deep into days, and racking up strikeouts. There's not much else we can ask for from a DFS pitcher. The right-handed hurler has at least six strikeouts in seven straight starts and nine or more Ks in three outings.

Hayden Birdsong - RHP, SF at Brewers ($6.3K DK; $7.5K FD)
The good news for Hayden Birdson is he's accumulated at least five strikeouts in eight of 10 starts. The bad news is that he's only gone over five strikeouts in two of those eight trips to the mound. Milwaukee's 24.2 percent strikeout rate to RHPs over the last month should boost Birdsong's floor.

DraftKings, FanDuel Infielders - MLB DFS Lineup Picks
Josh Bell - 1B, ARI vs. David Peterson ($4.1K DK; $2.7K FD)
With Christian Walker (oblique) on the IL, Josh Bell sees everyday playing time with his new club. Since joining the Diamondbacks at the trade deadline, Bell's produced a .261/.343/.466 slash line with 15 runs, 11 RBI, and nine extra-base hits in 23 games.
Connor Norby - 2B/3B, MIA at Bradley Blalock ($4.1K DK; $3.2K FD)
Connor Norby has kept his hot-hitting ways alive in Colorado. He entered the series on a six-game hitting streak and has picked it up in the Mile High City. In three games, Norby's gone 3-for-12 (.250 average) with three runs and two doubles. Expect him to lead off again for Miami.

Corey Seager - SS, TEX at Nick Nastrini ($5.6K DK; $3.7K FD)
After a subpar first half of the season by his standards, Corey Seager has come out of the All-Star on a tear. Over the last month, the Texas shortstop has a .946 OPS with 15 runs, 23 RBI, and 15 extra-base hits (10 home runs) in 25 games. He can anchor your hitting lineup for Thursday's early slate.

Corbin Carroll - OF, ARI vs. David Peterson ($5.7K DK; $3.2K FD)
Rostering Corbin Carroll is a little dangerous on Thursday afternoon. While the former top prospect has been crushing baseballs recently (1.047 OPS since Aug. 15), there's a lefty on the mound for the Mets. If Arizona keeps Carroll in the leadoff spot, it's wheels up for the Diamondback's outfielder.

Jesus Sanchez - OF, MIA at Bradley Blalock ($4.4K DK; $3.4K FD)
Paying Jesus Sanchez's price as a home-run-or-bust pick feels a little expensive, but you have to pick your spot, and a hitter at Coors is a great spot. Four of Sanchez's last six hits have gone for extra bases, and he's averaged 10.5 DraftKings PPG in that stretch.
Parker Meadows - OF, DET vs. Jack Kochanowicz ($3.7K DK; $3.0K FD)
Leadoff hitter under $4.0K on DraftKings alert! This type of value play should rarely be passed up. Parker Meadows entered Thursday's contest with a 1.010 OPS in the previous two weeks. In the last week, Detroit is fourth with a .375 wOBA against right-handed pitching.
