MLB Daily Fantasy Baseball Patrol: Pitchers for FanDuel, DraftKings (5/27/16)

Welcome to Friday! We've made it Memorial Day Weekend and as a reward have a full slate on tap.

In this article, I’ll be providing you with the top starting pitcher streamers for daily fantasy baseball (DFS) and for seasonal leagues for 5/27/16. These streamers will range from high-priced / high-ownership options to low-priced / low-ownership options, and will be sleepers and value picks for your cash games and GPPs on DraftKings and FanDuel, and also for seasonal leagues with daily lineups.

There'll be three main sections of this article: our Pitcher Matchups Tool’s top plays, my value plays, and pitchers to fade. I highly recommend you check out the Daily Pitcher Matchups Ratings tool - it's an extremely useful tool for daily fantasy or seasonal streaming for finding the diamonds in the rough. Anyways, let's get cracking!

Daily Pitcher Matchup Ratings Tool Top Plays

Felix Hernandez (SP, SEA) vs Twins

I've been pessimistic about King Felix due to the decreased velocity, but he sure has overcome those limitations. He has a 1.55 ERA at home and the Twins strike out 22.4% of the time versus RHP, third-worst in baseball.

Adam Conley (SP, MIA) at Braves

The Braves have a measly .294 slugging versus LHP and are struggling to put together any offense. Conley should pick up the W today.

Max’s Value Plays of the Day

Jon Lester (SP, CHC) vs Phillies

It's the ultimate cash play here. The Phillies have a .630 OPS versus LHP, second-worst in baseball. He should pick up the win fairly easy today.

Alex Wood (SP, LAD) at Mets

Wood is starting to heat up. He has a 3.09 ERA in May and has limited batters to a .297 wOBA. It's a pure tourney play given he's facing Jacob deGrom, but it's worth a share.

Starting Pitchers to Fade in Daily Fantasy Baseball

Aaron Sanchez (SP, TOR) vs Red Sox

After a solid April (2.59 ERA), he's struggled to keep it up in May (3.90 ERA). The Red Sox are the hottest offense in baseball, making this an easy fade.
