MLB Daily Fantasy Baseball Patrol: Pitchers for FanDuel, DraftKings (5/25/16)

Welcome to another Wednesday of baseball. We've got a full slate today, including ace Jake Arrieta. Is he a must-play? Find out below.

In this article, I’ll be providing you with the top starting pitcher streamers for daily fantasy baseball (DFS) and for seasonal leagues for 5/25/16. These streamers will range from high-priced / high-ownership options to low-priced / low-ownership options, and will be sleepers and value picks for your cash games and GPPs on DraftKings and FanDuel, and also for seasonal leagues with daily lineups.

There'll be three main sections of this article: our Pitcher Matchups Tool’s top plays, my value plays, and pitchers to fade. I highly recommend you check out the Daily Pitcher Matchups Ratings tool - it's an extremely useful tool for daily fantasy or seasonal streaming for finding the diamonds in the rough. Anyways, let's get cracking!

Daily Pitcher Matchup Ratings Tool Top Plays

Jake Arrieta (SP, CHC) at Cardinals

Of course Arrieta is in play today. He has a 1.29 ERA through nine starts and has a 11.7 K/9 through his last three starts. The Cardinals are a formidable offense versus RHP (.843 OPS and 193 runs rank second) but Arrieta is in a league of his own.

Corey Kluber (SP, CLE) at White Sox

Kluber has a modest 9.0 K/9 through nine starts, but more importantly the White Sox .693 OPS versus RHP ranks 22nd in baseball. It'll be a showdown versus Jose Quintana, but I anticipate Kluber getting the better end of it.

Max’s Value Plays of the Day

Matt Andriese (SP, TB) vs Marlins

Andriese has not disappointed after taking a role everyone presumed would go to Blake Snell. He has a 2.11 ERA through 21 innings and faces a Marlins team that is struggling versus RHP.

Junior Guerra (SP, MIL) at Braves

Hard to trust Guerra, but he's posted a 9.0 K/9 and is facing a Braves team that is last in runs scored versus RHP in a pitcher-friendly park.

Starting Pitchers to Fade in Daily Fantasy Baseball

Aaron Nola (SP, PHI) at Tigers

Nola has been spectacular for the Phillies, but this is a tough gig on the road. The Tigers .794 OPS versus RHP is fourth-best in baseball.
