ANALYSIS: Washington Redskins wide receiver Josh Doctson caught three of six targets for 34 yards against the Chargers on Sunday, snapping his two-game streak with a touchdown. Doctson has five touchdown catches this season, posting five or more targets in four of the last five games, but has been under 50 receiving yards in four of the last five games as well. He is averaging 14.4 yards per reception this season, proving that he is the deep threat option for Washington, but quarterback Kirk Cousin's only had 151 yards on Sunday.

Doctson is the fifth-leading receiver for Washington, with Jamison Crowder and Ryan Grant as the receivers with more yards than Doctson, but he has the most touchdowns. Doctson did lead the team in targets this week after finishing fourth on the team in targets against the Cowboys in Week 13, but he has never had consistent targets. A lot of the value for Doctson is ability to make plays down the field and the Redskins will continue to attempt to get him the ball.

As for scheduling, the Redskins have a decent matchup this week (against the Cardinals who allow the 13th-most points to WR), but then play the Broncos, who allow the second-fewest fantasy points to WR. Doctson is the big play threat for the Redskins either way, so he will get his yardage in bunches rather than with targets, so he is still a nice addition. There are safer players on the board, but Doctson's big play potential makes him just the kind of player that could fuel a fantasy playoffs upset.
