FanDuel Daily Fantasy Baseball Lineup Picks (5/9/16): MLB DFS Advice

Welcome to another week of fun on FanDuel! We have thirteen games to pick from, with another juicy Coors stack and some top-flight pitchers on the board.

You'll have two choices today; invest in an ace and find value hitting or stack Coors Field and find a value pitcher. My advice? Stick to the top pitchers for cash entries and stack for tourneys.

In this article, I will be providing you with my daily fantasy baseball MLB lineup picks for FanDuel on 5/9/16. The DFS lineup picks will range from high-priced to low-priced options and identify options who will out-perform their expectations, including sleepers and value plays on FanDuel.

DFS Lineup Stacks to Target for FanDuel

Colorado Rockies

Rockies are at home and get a tasty matchup with Archie Bradley. Bradley pitches to contact which is suicide in the altitude. All of the lefty outfielders (Gerardo Parra, Charlie Blackmon, Carlos Gonzalez) are in play tonight.

Toronto Blue Jays

The Blue Jays are one of the best teams versus right-handers, posting a .736 OPS to this point. Jake Peavy has been suspect to the long ball so far, making this a juicy opportunity for Josh Donaldson, Jose Bautista, and Edwin Encarniacion.

DFS Starting Pitchers to Target for FanDuel

Jose Fernandez - $10,800

JoFer has 47 strikeouts through 33 innings and has one career loss at home. The <a title="RotoBaller Miami Marlins Notebook" href="http://www.rotoballer.com/mlb-fantasy-news/?team=MIA">Marlins are a heavy favorite in Vegas (-240) and I look forward to Fernandez to pick up the W tonight.

Colby Lewis - $7,600

Lewis has a 2.70 ERA in his last three starts including seven strikeouts last time out versus the formidable Blue Jays. The White Sox have a .677 OPS versus righties, fifth worst in baseball.

DFS Infielders to Consider for FanDuel

Catcher (C) - Salvador Perez - $2,500

Perez has been somewhat disappointing but he has a .748 OPS versus righties and is coming off a 2-hit game.

First Base (1B) - Edwin Encarnacion - $3,700

Way too cheap for a player coming off a 2 HR/10 RBI week facing a homer-friendly Jake Peavy.

Second Base (2B) - Chris Owings - $3,000

A reasonable price to pay for a piece of some Coors action. He's hitting .328 in his career versus Colorado including 4-for-7 versus Tyler Chatwood.

Shortstop (SS) - Jean Segura - $3,700

Another chance to grab Coors exposure for under $4K. Segura has hit .326 against Colorado and is hitting .327 away from Arizona this year.

Third Base (3B) - Jung Ho Kang - $3,000

Way too cheap for the recently activated Kang. Kang had a two-homer game in his return and is expected to play two games a series for awhile. He sat yesterday, making him highly likely to play.

DFS Outfielders to Consider for FanDuel

Charlie Blackmon - $4,500

Little pricey, but Blackmon has been excellent since returning from the DL including a six-game hitting streak entering tonight. He's had a disappointing series at San Francisco, so hopefully ownership is lower than it should be in this matchup.

Ian Desmond - $3,300

Desmond has 12.7, 9, and 12 points his last three games and is hitting .317 versus the White Sox. Solid HR/SB play at this price tag.

Brett Gardner - $3,000

Gardner has a HR and two SB in his past four games and is hitting 4-for-11 versus Chris Young. I expect a high scoring game in the Bronx tonight.
