Good morning my fellow Rotoballers. Rise, shine and let's get those winning tournament lineups together. We have a loaded 15 game slate on deck for this evening, with first pitch at 7:05 EDT. Make sure to get those lineups locked and loaded before you let your mind wander to whatever else it is you need to get done on a Tuesday night.
Before I jump into player selections, let's see what we can learn from run total projections and moneyline favorites. The teams with the highest run total projections - good for identifying stacks and which pitchers to attack - are the Diamondbacks (6.1), the Red Sox (5.3) and the Astros (5.2). The biggest favorites for tonight's action are the Dodgers (-240), Astros (-223) and the Red Sox (-188).
In this article, I will be providing you with my daily fantasy baseball lineup picks for FanDuel on 5/23/2017. The DFS lineup picks will range from some of the elite players to mid-priced options, and of course, value plays.

Offensive Stacks
Arizona Diamondbacks versus Dylan Covey
The Diamondbacks lead all teams in projected run total tonight with a current projection of 6.1 runs - quite the margin above the next highest team (Red Sox) and their 5.3 mark. Their opponent tonight, Dylan Covey, has been really, really bad this season. In fact, it would be difficult to overstate just how bad he's pitched. He owns a 1.81 WHIP, a low K/9 of just 5.4 and he's never ever able to keep the ball in the yard (2.8 HR/9). In a fabulous offensive park like the one the Diamondbacks play in, this is a fantastic matchup for them and a great stacking opportunity for us. My favorite targets on the Arizona roster are Jake Lamb, David Peralta, Paul Goldschmidt and Yasmany Tomas.

FanDuel DFS Pitchers
Clayton Kershaw - SP, vs STL ($12,600)
At this point, Kershaw should need very little introduction. Yes, he's expensive but yes, he's also worth the price you pay for. So far in 2017, Kershaw owns a magnficent 0.81 WHIP, 0.75 HR/9 and the real beauty, a 9.5 K/9. The K/9 isn't the highest total he's put up, but there's a lot more value and a higher ceiling for Kershaw with that figure than most, seeing as he pitches so late into games. Tonight, he's at home, a place he's consistently excellent, and he faces a Cardinals team with little pop that also has a projected lineup with over a 26% K rate against southpaws this season.
Lance McCullers - SP, vs DET ($9,400)
This is quite a bargain if we're being serious. McCullers may not yet have an "ace" label, but he sure is pitching like one this season. An ace at a below 10K price point is certainly a bargain and a steal with high upside. McCullers can be a little wild (1.3 WHIP), but he's effective with it and has done a great job keeping the ball in the yard (0.7 HR/9) and limiting big innings. He also possesses excellent strikeout marks (11.4 K/9), which gives him a pretty high ceiling any day, and the case is no different today as he faces a team with a current 25% K rate against right-handed pitching.
Also Consider: Jon Lester - SP, vs SFG ($10,300)
FanDuel DFS Infielders
Yasmani Grandal - C, vs STL ($3,400)
Grandal is the type of catcher worth paying up for when he's on a hot streak like he is right now. The Dodgers backstop has managed to beat his price implied value in seven of the last 10 games and he has a strong matchup tonight. He showcases excellent splits against right-handed pitching with his .386 wOBA and .281 ISO.
Jose Abreu - 1B, at ARI ($3,600)
Abreu and his teammates get a major power park upgrade in Arizona tonight and they have a favorable matchup against Patrick Corbin as well. Abreu has done a great job handling southpaw pitching this season - showcased by his .414 wOBA and .273 ISO - which puts him in an opportune spot this evening.
Ryan Schimpf - 2B, at NYM ($2,900)
Everyone's favorite power-hitting second baseman is in a spot I really like Tuesday night. There is no denying Schimp's power numbers against righties this season - .306 ISO, .522 slugging percentage - and his opponent, Matt Harvey, is incredibly vulnerable right now. It's not a huge jump, but this is also a park upgrade for Schimpf.
Evan Longoria - 3B, vs LAA ($2,900)
He'll have his hiccups here and there, but with the upside and background he possesses, it always amazes me that Longoria can be rostered for under $3k on most evenings in 2017. Tonight he has an underrated and perhaps overlooked matchup against Shoemaker. Longoria owns excellent splits against righties - .361 wOBA, .254 ISO - and he has a hard hit rate of over 35% the past 15 days.
Corey Seager - SS, vs STL ($3,600)
Seager has been tearing the laces off the ball in the past two weeks with a 42% hard hit rate and he has an absolutely fantastic wOBA split (.424) that gives him a really high ceiling. His power numbers give him tournament upside as well, showcased by a .590 slugging percentage.
FanDuel DFS Outfielders
Charlie Blackmon - OF , at PHI ($4,300)
Blackmon needs to be a staple in your cash game lineups when he's facing a right-handed pitcher like he is today. His wOBA and ISO splits are just incredible and getting it from the leadoff spot provides extra DFS value. While it's not Coors, this game is being played in a solid offensive park, too.
Khris Davis - OF, vs MIA ($3,500)
It seems like Davis was stuck in a mini-slump there for a minute or two but he's recently busted out of said slump and is priced as a value still. Now is the time to take advantage of the low price and high ceiling he represents. The season-long .297 ISO split is fantastic, especially at this price point.
