MNF NFL DFS Lineup Picks for DraftKings, FanDuel (9/19/22): Daily Fantasy Football

Dalvin Cook - Fantasy Football Rankings, NFL Injury News, DFS Lineup Picks

John's top MNF DFS lineup picks for FanDuel, DraftKings on September 19th, 2022. His daily fantasy football analysis and sleepers for building optimal DFS rosters for Monday Night Football.

Happy Monday, RotoBallers! I hope your Week 2 has been profitable thus far. We have two interesting matchups this Monday Night, with the Titans heading into Buffalo to take on the Bills, and the Vikings heading to Philadelphia to take on the Eagles. The Titans are looking to bounce back after a Week 1 loss to the Giants, while the Bills, Vikings, and Eagles will look to keep the momentum going after their opening week wins.

In this article, I will be providing you with daily fantasy football picks on FanDuel and DraftKings for the two-game Monday Night Football slate on September 19th. These lineups can vary from higher-priced players and elite options to lower-priced players and value picks on both DraftKings and FanDuel.

If you have any questions, you can follow me on Twitter @LucidMediaDFS and fire away, or sign up for a premium RotoBaller NFL package and chat with me and other NFL DFS analysts any time you'd like. Let's make some coin this season gang, and let's get right to it!

Be sure to check all of our fantasy football rankings for 2025:

DFS Quarterbacks

Josh Allen (DK: $7,800, FD: $9,000)

There's no reason to start with anyone else on this slate. After coming out on fire in Week 1, Allen will look to turn the heat up once again against a Titans team that didn't show us much last Sunday. The Bills have a projected passing DVOA of 17.41%, with a slight lean towards the passing game. He also brings a true rushing floor, as well as the best value at the quarterback position on both sites, according to my model. He's a great captain/MVP player if you're going to play the Titans/Bills showdown slate as well.

Kirk Cousins (DK: $6,200, FD: $7,600)

If you're not trying to pay up to Josh Allen at quarterback, Kirk Cousins is certainly worth a look. Cousins threw for 277 yards and two touchdowns in Week 1 against the Packers, and now takes on an Eagles defense that let the Lions march down the field somewhat at will last Sunday. The Vikings have a projected passing DVOA of 27.59%, the highest among these four teams, and can certainly be a potential captain/MVP pivot off of Jalen Hurts in the Vikings/Eagles showdown.

Also Consider: Jalen Hurts

DFS Running Backs

Dalvin Cook (DK: $8,000, FD: $8,200)

Speaking of the Vikings/Eagles game, I mentioned how the Eagles allowed Detroit to march down the field on multiple occasions last week. While D'Andre Swift is looking like a great running back in the making, it's already been established that Dalvin Cook is already in that top tier. The Vikings have a projected rushing DVOA of -1.45%, the second-best number on the slate, while their projected passing DVOA when throwing to RBs is 18.24%, the best on the slate. If the Eagles start to get pressure, expect Dalvin to get screen work out of the backfield as well.

Miles Sanders (DK: $5,500, FD: $7,000)

While on a full-sized slate, I wouldn't recommend taking two running backs from the same game. However, we have to make some adjustments on a two-game slate and I'm willing to make an exception here. Now I'll make it clear that I would only recommend pairing these two together if you're playing Josh Allen at quarterback. With that said, Sanders and the Eagles have a projected rushing DVOA of 22.55%, by far the highest on the slate. I could see a scenario where the Eagles try to control the game by keeping the ball on the ground, in which case Sanders could be a slate-breaker.

Also Consider: Devin Singletary, Hassan Haskins

DFS Wide Receivers

Stefon Diggs (DK: $7,500, FD: $8,100)

I want to make it clear that I absolutely will have Justin Jefferson shares tonight. However, we're getting a massive discount with Diggs. Diggs is the clear "number two" on the slate but should be the "number one" on the Bills tonight without question. Gabe Davis is dealing with a sprained ankle and is a game-time decision, and Diggs draws a strong matchup with a projected DVOA of 25.4% and a matchup grade of 85.55, per Pro Football Focus.

Robert Woods (DK: $4,400, FD: $5,400)

Robert Woods or "Bobby Trees" had a lackluster Week 1, catching just one of two targets for 13 yards. After his injury last season and limited time to work on timing and what not with his new quarterback Ryan Tannehill, I expected a relatively slow start from the 10th-year receiver. However, the Bills do somewhat "leak" against the number one receiver, as his former teammate Cooper Kupp showed last week. He also grades out to a 53.66 matchup grade, per PFF, which comes in fourth on the slate. I'm expecting a coming-out party for Woods against his former club tonight.

Also Consider: Justin Jefferson, Isaiah McKenzie

DFS Tight Ends

Dallas Goedert (DK: $4,700, FD: $6,200)

While I do rate Dawson Knox a solid tight end, I don't think he's anywhere close to Goedert from a fantasy perspective. Tight-end pricing is pretty close together across the board tonight, so I won't be overthinking it here. His matchup numbers aren't as pretty as others on the slate, but he has the safest floor by far and in truth, I'll be playing at least 80% Goedert tonight.

DFS Defense/Special Teams

Bills D/ST (DK: $3,200, FD: $5,000)

I'm not one to pay up for defenses in a full roster slate, but once again in a two-game slate, we have to make exceptions and change the way we play to gather an edge. The Bills' defense sacked Matthew Stafford a whopping seven times as well as intercepted three of his passes en route to a dominant victory on the opening night of the season. They now have had nine days to prepare for the Titans, a seemingly one-dimensional offense now. I also love them as a value play in the Titans/Bills showdown.

Have a good Monday everyone, see you on Thursday for another showdown breakdown!
