The NBA IS BACK! Start of the season is here, and oh boy do we have two juicy games to kick off the season. Plenty of story lines in the offseason, will lead to an exciting regular season, with these so called "Super Teams" in action nearly every night. We will have coverage everyday throughout the season, so sit back and let's start the year off strong.
In this article, I will be providing you with my daily fantasy basketball lineup picks for DraftKings on 10/17/17. The DFS lineup picks will range from some of the elite players to mid-priced options and value plays on DraftKings.

DFS Guards to Consider
Kyrie Irving - SG, BOS @ CLE (DK - $8,300, FD - $8,200)
Listen, if you like a stroll down the ole DFS narrative street, then Irving is the option for you tonight. They whole fallout with the Cavs aka LeBron, set in motion an opening night showdown, against the two. Kyrie will now more space to work in the offense, which means he should have a higher floor this season. Last year he averaged 41 DK points per game, and 39 FD points per game, but I have a feeling there will be an extra gear he wants to hit tonight, and show the Cavs what kind of player he truly is.
Derrick Rose - PG, CLE vs BOS (DK - $5,200, FD - $5,500)
With Isaiah Thomas, being out for the Cavs, Rose should see a good amount of playing time. There is no final report from the team about what his limit will be, but with the decreased price tag, he makes a good option on a short slate. There is also some uncertainty around the playing status of LeBron, so if he doesn't play, Rose has a higher ceiling, since there will be more offense to make up. With the short slate, he is good in any format.
DFS Forwards to Consider
Ryan Anderson - PF, HOU @ GS (DK - $4,100, FD - $4,700)
We know this game is going to be a high scoring affair, as it has an over under set at 231.5 points. A full on game stack isn't a bad idea, and if you are doing that, you need any bit of savings you can get. Anderson loves to step out and hit the three ball, which has so much value in DFS. The new Rockets offense will be hard to pin down, but will all the defensive attention going to Harden and Paul, it may open up space for Anderson the outside.
Gordon Hayward - SF, BOS @ CLE (DK - $6,700, FD - $7,600)
Hayward is also making a his team debut with the Celtics, and the stack of him and Irving certainly makes an interesting one tonight. Hayward has the potential to see a big bump if the news of LeBron not playing is true. Not having an elite wing defender, should open up plenty of space for Hayward to score. Don't hesitate to play him even if LeBron does play, he is an All-Star scorer, and will see plenty of looks on offense to rack up the points.
DFS Centers to Consider
Zaza Pachulia - C, GS vs HOU (DK - $3,400, FD - $3,800)
Pachulia may not be the most explosive offensive option in the NBA, but with a two game slate, you have to consider all options. Zaza is cheap, and even the slightest amount of savings is important on a two game slate, so take them here. He has a very slight chance at double digit points, just based on the fact the game has a high over under, and just being in that offense, you will see points fall in your lap. The savings will open up space on your roster, so he is good in any format.
