In this article, I will be providing you with my daily fantasy baseball lineup picks for DraftKings on 10/8/18 The lineup picks will range from some of the elite players to mid-priced options and value plays.

DraftKings DFS Starting Pitchers
Luis Severino, NYY (vs BOS): $9,400
While he didn't pitch deep into the AL Wild Card Game, Severino showed his immense upside with seven strikeouts and four innings of no-hit ball to start the game. It's tough to rely on any pitcher to give you lots of innings, after all, as managers are quick to go to their bullpen in the postseason. Severino has the ability to make the most out of what he's given, as he posted an outstanding 2.95 FIP and a 28.5% K-rate in the regular season. I'm comfortable with paying for him as the top pitcher on the slate.
Rich Hill, LAD (@ ATL): $8,100
Dodger lefties Hyun-Jin Ryu and Clayton Kershaw dominated the Braves in the first two games of the series, so it looks like Hill should succeed as the third southpaw up for Los Angeles. With a strong 27.1% K-rate, Hill can give you a good bang for your buck with his potential for strikeouts.
DraftKings DFS Infielders
1B – Freddie Freeman, ATL (vs LAD): $4,500
I'd obviously try to avoid Freeman in lineups where you're rolling with Rich Hill, but sometimes on short slates your hand is forced. Freeman crushed lefties to the tune of a 146 wRC+ this season, so he's one Brave that can definitely give Hill some trouble. He's a good value relative to other first basemen.
2B – Jose Altuve, HOU (@ CLE): $4,300
For as long as Altuve stays this cheap, I'll keep coming back to him. He's impossible to ignore as the Astros two-hitter, as he's in such a good spot to get plate appearances and score runs.
3B – Josh Donaldson, CLE (vs HOU): $4,500
Astros starter Dallas Keuchel is one of the weaker pitchers on today's slate, so I like Indians bats like Donaldson against him. Even in an injury-plagued regular season where he under-performed, Donaldson smacked lefties with a 146 wRC+.
SS/OF – Marwin Gonzalez, HOU (@ CLE): $3,700
Gonzalez is basically a punt play at this price, so he'll allow you to work more expensive players into your lineup. Don't expect him to put up a zero, though - Marwin will bat fifth for the Astros, a spot where he will have lots of RBI opportunities.
DraftKings DFS Outfielders
OF – Yasiel Puig, LAD (@ ATL): $4,200
There's no reason for Puig to be this cheap against a right-handed pitchers, as he put up a fantastic 150 wRC+ against righties in 2018. He could bat as high as fifth for Los Angeles, which would make him even more valuable.
OF – Giancarlo Stanton, NYY (@ BOS): $4,700
Stanton has as much upside as any hitter available, and yet you can certainly fit him into your lineups at this price. Consider Stanton in GPPs for his high upside, low floor profile.
