BALLER MOVE: Add in 12+ Team Leagues

OWNED IN: 42% of Yahoo Leagues

ANALYSIS: A cold spell over the last week may have made people shy away from Atlanta Braves shortstop Dansby Swanson, but he still has an .857 OPS over the last 14 days, clubbing two home runs and knocking in 10 runs. He has a .783 OPS over the last 30 days and he has added 15 RBI while scoring 14 runs. A huge factor for fantasy owners is that, over the last 30 days, he has a .371 OBP, spearheaded by his 18 walks. He has struggled against right-handed pitchers this season, a .173 batting average in 139 at-bats, but does have two doubles and two home runs against left-handed pitchers this season. Two cautionary statistics for fantasy owners are that Swanson's line drive percentage and hard-hit ball percentage are down year over year, as they stand at 21.6% and 32.8% respectively.

Swanson was the top pick of the 2015 draft and is only available in fantasy leagues because of his poor statistics to open the season. Some thought that Swanson would be sent to Triple-A because of his sub-.200 batting average, but he stayed in the big leagues and is finally playing up to his potential. He should be monitored in deep mixed leagues, but should be owned in all shallow mixed leagues and NL-only leagues.
