ANALYSIS: New England Patriots wide receiver Danny Amendola caught three passes for 28 yards on Sunday, but he could be forced into more action in the last week of the season. Amendola has been targeted less than five times in four of the last five games, but did have a six catch, 79 yard effort against the Dolphins two weeks ago. He has caught 11 of his 16 targets over the last three weeks and has a 25-yard catch in two of the last four weeks.

While his workload is not that impressive Amendola is still second among Patriots' receivers in receiving yards and has caught 57 of his 79 targets this season. Chris Hogan, who has five touchdowns to Amendola's two, has also missed time and new addition Kenny Britt has only been targeted three times in two games, showing that Amendola is the second receiver behind Brandin Cooks with Hogan out. Rob Gronkowski always will get a ton of attention from Tom Brady and the Patriots' passing game, but Amendola's reliability in the slot could lead to a breakout game.

Amendola and the Patriots will play the Jets (who allow the 12th-most points to fantasy WR) to close the season and the Patriots' injuries will make him a good addition. Earlier this season, Amendola had three catches (five targets) against the Jets, grabbing 40 receiving yards and was the fourth-most targeted Patriots' player. There is not too much upside with Amendola, but he will catch the balls thrown to him, making him a good pickup in Week 17.
