Pinnacle Cup II Swiss Round 5 (BO3)

Best of 3

Captain Plays

sh1ro is back again and he is once again up as the top captain option on a slate. He is the highest-priced player but that shouldn't scare you away from rostering him as he carries the highest ceiling out of all players. Over his last 35 maps played, sh1ro has produced a 1.30 K/D ratio and has a .70 kill per round rate while having a .54 death per round rate.

Jame could be viewed as a solid tournament option against Astralis on this two-game slate. Jame is the top VP player as he has a 1.24 K/D ratio over his last 20 maps played and has a .68 kill per round rate while having a low death per round rate of .55. Jame has gone plus in seven out of his last eight matches played and is one of the safer overall options to consider.

Other captain plays in order of preference: dupreeh, magisk, Twistzz

Value Plays

hobbit is one of the best overall values on the slate and could even be looked at as a value captain play option. When looking t his last 35 maps played, hobbit has produced a 1.16 K/D ratio while having a .71 kill per round rate while having a low death per round rate of .62. One thing that really stands out is that hobbit is in really good form as he has gone plus in three straight matches and could crush his value if he continues this play against FaZe.

Xyp9x hasn't had as strong of a summer like he did last season but he has been rounding into form as he has gone plus in three out of his last five matches played. He is right at a solid price point at 7k, but with Astralis being one of the favorites and with VP struggling against tougher opponents, he has a chance to go plus and hit his value.

Other value plays in order of preference: broky, nafany, olofmeister

Top Stacks / Team Picks

Gambit is the best stacking option on the slate but they should be able to handle FaZe and win in two matches. They are 24-11 over their last 35 maps played and have a team K/D ratio of 1.10 while FaZe is 15-13 over their last 28 maps played while sporting a team K/D ratio of 1.01. Gambit has been in great form as they have won four out of the last five BO3 series that they have played while also being the largest favorites on the slate.

The big three for Gambit are all in play with sh1ro leading the way. He is the strongest player on the slate and should be the first guy considered in Gambit stacks. Both Ax1le and hobbit are the secondary options to choose from with hobbit being the preferred as he carries a little bit of a discount while still bringing upside to the roster. If you're needing value, nafany has been one that has flashed and has had a .98 K/D ratio over his last 35 maps played.

Other Stacks: Astralis
