BALLER MOVE: Add in 12+ Team Leagues

OWNED IN: 27% of Yahoo Leagues

ANALYSIS: New York Yankees pitcher CC Sabathia has turned around his season in a big way over his last three starts, firing four quality starts and winning each game. In his last four starts, Sabathia has tossed 24 1/3 innings, pitching to a 1.48 ERA while striking out 28 and walking just six. The performance improves his record to 6-2 while his ERA for the year is down to 4.12. While he is on a hot streak, fantasy owners need to understand that Sabathia's hard hit ball percentage has jumped 10% to 34.7% this season and his line drive percentage has jumped to 20.7% from 16.9% last season. His hard hit ball percentage would be a career-high, so the 4.12 ERA could be a bit lucky.

The Yankees are winning the AL East, putting Sabathia in a good spot for wins, but there are a lot of scary statistics in his hot streak. If Sabathia is able to reduce his hard hit ball percentage and induce more ground balls, he would be owned in more leagues. Fantasy owners also need to remember that before his four-game winning streak, he had allowed at least five runs in three consecutive starts. He will make his next start at Yankee Stadium against the Red Sox, which not the easiest of assignments either. If you're in need of help in the rotation, consider Sabathia but tread carefully.
