Fantasy Football Waiver Wire Outlooks
Below are some fantasy football waiver wire outlooks written by our NFL team here at RotoBaller, bringing you their fantasy football analysis and advice on which players to consider adding off waivers in Week 11:
Woody Marks, RB, Houston Texans
Houston Texans running back Woody Marks has continued to play in a larger role in the team's timeshare in recent weeks, and he found the end zone again on Sunday against the Jaguars. Marks took 14 carries for 53 yards and a touchdown while also adding two catches for 18 more yards. Nick Chubb only had five carries but managed 47 yards.
Marks has done most of the work on passing downs and played a season-high 80% of snaps in Week 10, since he team played from behind against the Jaguars. Marks will continue to share time with Chubb going forward, including in Week 11 against the Titans.
If the Texans play from ahead, Chubb could get more of an even split, but Marks still has a very high ceiling in the favorable matchup against Tennessee and is a great addition if he's still on the waiver wire in your leagues.
Isiah Pacheco, RB, Kansas City Chiefs
Kansas City Chiefs head coach Andy Reid said that running back Isiah Pacheco (knee) will not practice on Wednesday, according to Jesse Newell of The Athletic. The Chiefs are coming off their bye week, but it's looking like Pacheco will be held out for another game in Week 11 against the division-rival Denver Broncos as a precaution.
He did not play in the Week 9 loss to the Buffalo Bills, which led to more work for rookie Brashard Smith and Clyde Edwards-Helaire in a change-of-pace role behind veteran Kareem Hunt. In that loss to Buffalo, Hunt handled 11 carries for 49 yards and a touchdown and added one catch for six yards, with Smith and Edwards-Helaire combining for only five rushing attempts.
If Pacheco misses his second straight game this weekend, it will be hard to trust Smith or CEH in fantasy lineups, especially against a stout Denver defense.
Blake Corum, RB, Los Angeles Rams
Los Angeles Rams backup running back Blake Corum has now seen double-digit carries in three straight games for the Rams as he continues to see more work alongside starter Kyren Williams. In Sunday's 42-26 win over the San Francisco 49ers in Week 10, Corum tied a season high with 13 rushing attempts for 56 yards while playing a season-high 39% of the offensive snaps.
It helped the 24-year-old's cause that L.A. pulled away by multiple scores in the second half, but fantasy managers cannot ignore the fact that he has 38 carries for 151 yards (4.0 yards per rush) in the last three contests. The downside is the fact that Corum hasn't scored since Week 2, and he has only four receptions for 15 yards on eight targets on the season.
Corum is definitely touchdown-dependent and continues to work behind Williams, but his increased involvement in a high-scoring offense at least makes him worth RB3/flex consideration in deeper leagues heading into a Week 11 divisional showdown against the Seattle Seahawks.
Juwan Johnson, TE, New Orleans Saints
New Orleans Saints tight end Juwan Johnson caught all four of his targets for 92 yards and a touchdown during Sunday's Week 10 win over the Carolina Panthers. The highlight of Johnson's game was a 30-yard touchdown reception that extended New Orleans' lead to multiple possessions.
It was a bit unclear how top receivers like Johnson and Chris Olave would perform in rookie quarterback Tyler Shough's second career start, but both pass catchers turned in big outings while strengthening their rapport with the Louisville product.
Johnson has been a pleasant surprise in fantasy football this year, ranking as the overall TE6 in PPR leagues with 43 catches, 491 yards, and a trio of scores. He should continue to be started in all leagues on the other side of the Saints' Week 11 bye.
Jayden Reed, WR, Green Bay Packers
Green Bay Packers wide receiver Jayden Reed (collarbone, foot) is currently working his way back to the field. Reed was recently spotted at practice doing some light work. The 25-year-old has been out since suffering a broken collarbone in Week 2.
Despite that, Reed could be back in the near future. He still hasn't returned to practice with pads, so fantasy managers shouldn't expect him to play in Week 11. However, Reed could be worth stashing on the IR for fantasy managers who have a spot available.
Reed might still miss a few more games, but could be a decent contributor once he's healthy. Reed might be a nice addition to fantasy rosters right around playoff time.
