Carolina Panthers cornerback Jaycee Horn (thumb) is doing individual work off to the side during Monday's training camp practice. Horn was involved in a car accident last week and needed some stitches in his left thumb. As a result, the 25-year-old defensive back was held out of practices last week and also didn't play in Friday's preseason opener versus the Cleveland Browns. The Panthers are hoping that Horn will be able to suit up for the second preseason game on Aug. 16 against the Houston Texans, and it's a good sign that he was able to do invidual drills to begin the week. Horn avoided any serious injuries during his car accident and will be just fine for the start of the 2025 regular season in early September. Horn is one of the best defensive backs in the league and was rewarded with a four-year, $100 million extension in the offseason that, at the time, made him the highest-paid corner in the league.--Keith HernandezRead More News
