Daily fantasy basketball happens to be one of the most predictable fantasy sports that there is. Players generally get the same amount of minutes per game, and they can usually be expected to score, rebound, and assist at around the same ratio.

This makes finding value plays fairly easy. I will provide a top play and a value play at the guard and forward positions. Center is a position that I never really try to find a cheap option at. Pay up at the center position.

Due to this, I'll only provide a top option there. Let's get down to it. Here are my daily fantasy basketball picks for November 16th, 2015.

FanDuel Top Guard Pick

Damian Lillard (at SA, $8,700)

Damian Lillard is one of the top guard options on the board tonight against the San Antonio Spurs. Parker is a little bit too old to defend the young and athletic Lillard, and Lillard has been great all season long. Westbrook's price tag is a bit too high to use in cash games (even though he will likely score 60 plus fantasy points). Lillard is the better cash game play. Aside from his last game against the Memphis Grizzlies, he has over 40 fantasy points in every single game so far this season. The Spurs are ranked 22nd in the league in defending opposing point guards, so Lillard will almost definitely hit the big 40-mark. Do not hesitate to use him .

 

FanDuel Value Guard Pick

Deron Williams (at PHI, $5,600) 

Deron Williams has been solid of recent, scoring 25 plus fantasy points in three straight games now, and he gets a great matchup tonight against the Philadelphia 76ers. The Sixers are one of the worst teams in the league against opposing point guards, so Williams should score over 25 fantasy points again tonight. He isn't all that explosive, so you should probably not use him in tournaments, but he makes for a solid, cheap option in cash games. He can be relied on, and he will likely see around 30 minutes even if the Dallas Mavericks do blow out the Sixers tonight.

 

FanDuel Top Forward Pick

Nerlens Noel (vs DAL, $6,800)

Nerlens Noel is one of the best tournament plays on the board tonight against the Dallas Mavericks. The Mavericks do not defend the power forward or center position very well, and Noel is going to take advantage of that. Two of his last four games are horrendous, but he should get back on track tonight. His price tag is way too low due to this. He has the ability to score over 40 fantasy points, as he has shown so far this season against the Cleveland Cavaliers. He is a good source of steals and blocks, which is exactly what you need to win tournaments. He is a very risky option, but well worth that risk.

 

FanDuel Value Forward Pick

Metta World Peace (at PHO, $3,200)

This is strange, but Metta World Peace is playing semi-well right now. He can be used in tournaments if you need to save a lot of salary cap at the forward position. He is only playing around 20 minutes per game, but he has scored over 20 fantasy points in those 20 minutes. He has looked pretty solid so far this season, and his minutes could continue to increase. He is one of my favorite players in the league, and I will be using him solely for that reason. You, however, should not follow that logic. Only use him in tournaments, as he is a bad cash game option.

 

FanDuel Top Center Pick

Dwight Howard (vs BOS, $7,400)

Dwight Howard is simply the best center on the board tonight against the Boston Celtics. The Celtics are not horrible at defending the center position, but Howard is basically matchup proof. He has a serious shot at hitting over 50 fantasy points every time he steps on to the court, and his price tag is just way too low. Do not avoid him, or you will regret it.
