What the what!!!! It's Wednesday, and only two day games? Well, I guess this gives us pretty much a full slate for tonight, but it's still rather depressing... I love day Baseball OH WELL! As always, check lineups and weather before first pitch (Did you notice I'm sad? )
MLB Daily Leagues Lineup Picks for August 28, 2013
P Chris Sale - Last time he faced the Astros, Sale struck out 14 in eight innings without giving up a run. He hasn't been pitching his best ball lately, but a matchup with the Astros can cure anyone's blues. Any pitcher who can score 24 points without even earning a win is worth the price.
1B Chris Davis - I know Lackey has been good at home, but Chris Davis's popups travel around 350 feet. The right field wall in Fenway is only like 300 feet down the line, and a popup to left will surely go over the monster. I expect a huge night for Davis. Don't trust me? He's slugging over .700 in Fenway in his career.
2B Jedd Gyorko - Gyorko has quietly been getting his stroke back after a DL stint last month, and he has a prime matchup tonight facing Wade Miley. Throw in the hitter-friendly dimensions of Chase field and we have a serious bargain at 2B tonight.
3B Alex Rodriguez - I've been recommending A-Rrod since he came off the DL, and he's been contributing every night. Everyone hates him, but ever since he came back, the Yankees offense is on a tear. It looks like he's now getting his power stroke back, so get him in your lineup while he's still relatively cheap.
OF Andrew Mccutchen - McCutchen smashes lefties, smashes at home, smashes at night... Ummm, yeah, let's take him as our STUD OF THE DAY.
As always, remember to check your MLB daily lineups before they lock and make sure you are doing your own research, too, for optimal performance! The most successful daily leaguers are grinders who are constantly tweaking their lineups as the day goes on and fantasy news gets released. Good luck today, RotoBallers!
